Role Description The Full Stack Engineer role at I-THAM is a full-time, on-site position based in Amsterdam. In this role, the engineer designs, develops, and maintains end-to-end web applications that support secure and interpretable AI systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing front-end user interfaces, building and optimizing back-end services and APIs, integrating with AI and data pipelines, and ensuring performance, scalability, and security across the stack. The engineer collaborates with AI researchers, product managers, and security specialists to translate technical requirements into reliable software solutions, conducts code reviews, writes tests, and participates in continuous improvement of the development process. The role also involves monitoring production systems, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to architectural decisions that align with I-THAM’s mission of safeguarding AI operations.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Full-Stack Development and Software Development, with experience delivering production-grade web applications.
• Candidates should possess front-end skills in Front-End Development and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), including responsive UI implementation and cross-browser compatibility.
• Candidates should possess back-end skills in Back-End Web Development, including building APIs, integrating databases, and working with server-side frameworks.
• Candidates should have proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or similar) and common web frameworks.
• Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of secure coding practices, authentication/authorization, and application performance optimization.
• Candidates should have experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and collaborative development workflows.
• Candidates should exhibit strong problem-solving abilities, clear communication skills, and the capacity to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is beneficial; experience with AI or ML-related systems is a plus.
