About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Industrious Ventures. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and enhancing our AI-powered logistics platforms and user interfaces. Your work will directly impact the efficiency of freight management operations by building scalable, reliable, and user-friendly software solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, solution engineers, and customer stakeholders to create seamless digital experiences across web, mobile, and specialized hardware interfaces. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the transformation of logistics infrastructure and operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of building products at scale.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Python, with strong coding skills and best practices.
• Experience in developing and deploying enterprise or consumer-facing applications, understanding how product requirements translate into technical solutions.
• Solid understanding of modern web application development, APIs, and full-stack ownership.
• Deep knowledge of backend architecture, distributed systems, scalability, reliability, and fault-tolerant design principles.
• Hands-on experience with production infrastructure, observability tools such as logging, monitoring, alerting, and debugging distributed systems.
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams and with stakeholders.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive end-to-end experiences for AI-powered products, including data pipelines, backend services, and user interfaces that facilitate interaction with the Kargo platform.
• Design, build, and improve customer-facing dashboards and applications, creating intuitive interfaces that simplify complex logistics data for users.
• Build software solutions across multiple surfaces, including web, mobile, and kiosk interfaces deployed on Kargo Towers and forklifts, ensuring consistent performance and usability.
• Collaborate with Product and Solution Engineers to develop and enhance our agentic AI product suite, aligning technical development with strategic goals.
• Enhance the stability, scalability, and measurability of backend systems through robust architecture and best practices in software engineering.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve the platform’s capabilities.
