Staff / Senior Software Engineer

Fully Remote - US / Canada

Base $200k - $350k + Equity

They’re hiring a Staff / Senior Software Engineer to ship mission-critical systems from day one. TypeScript monorepo, end-to-end type safety, 100% infrastructure-as-code, AI-native architecture - not bolted-on AI, but AI-first from the ground up. Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and launch complex multi-step AI agents that automate mission-critical operational workflows
• Integrate with third-party APIs to generate documents, produce automated underwriting results, and prevent fraud
• Build and scale job processing infrastructure on AWS for improved observability and reliability
• Design and scale complex relational DB schemas - performant storage, retrieval, and updates at enterprise scale
• Develop full-stack features from design through deployment, maintaining end-to-end type safety
• Mentor junior engineers in both technical and soft skills

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering
• Strong TypeScript proficiency with hands-on examples of complex systems built recently
• Experience scaling high-throughput distributed systems on AWS with Terraform
• Full-stack: React frontend, Node/Express backend, GraphQL/Apollo, PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with modern AI product development - evals, experiment design, dataset curation
