Role Description The Developer (Junior / Senior Engineer) role at PMA LEGADO is a part-time remote position focused on building, improving, and maintaining software solutions that support the organization’s products and internal systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code, participating in code reviews, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical implementations. The developer will troubleshoot and debug issues, contribute to testing and quality assurance efforts, and help optimize performance and scalability of existing applications. Junior team members will receive guidance and mentorship, while senior engineers will also contribute to technical decision-making, architectural design, and best-practice setting for the development team.
Qualifications

• Ability to work with modern programming languages and frameworks, writing maintainable and efficient code suitable for production environments.
• Experience with software development lifecycle practices, including version control, code review, testing, and deployment in collaborative teams.
• Skills in debugging, issue tracking, and performance optimization for web or backend services.
• Comfort with remote collaboration tools and workflows, including clear written communication and proactive status updates.
• Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new technologies and approaches.
• For senior engineers: experience in system design, mentoring other developers, and contributing to technical roadmaps and standards.
• Relevant education in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience; prior work in a part-time or flexible remote setting is a plus.
