Software Developer (Front-End / VBA / SQL)

Location

Onsite/Hybrid ( Toronto, Ontario) 4 days onsite and 1 day remote

• Design, develop, and maintain software solutions to automate operational processes.
• Build and enhance front-end applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Develop backend functionality using VBA.
• Create, optimize, and maintain SQL Server databases, queries, and stored procedures.
• Develop and maintain Access databases and Excel macros.
• Integrate applications using API methods.
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
• Conduct code reviews and maintain coding best practices.
• Present completed solutions and functionality to stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications.

Required Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of overall software development experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on coding and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience.

Strong experience with:

• HTML, CSS, JavaScript, VBA, SQL Server (query optimization and stored procedures)
• Access
• Excel (Macros)
• API integration and development

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Code review experience.
• Banking or financial services industry experience.
• Lean Six Sigma certification (preferred).
