Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Full Stack Developer at Ebix Technologies. The Full Stack Developer will design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and services that power our core platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include building responsive, high-performance front-end interfaces using React.js and Next.js, developing robust server-side logic and RESTful APIs with Node.js, and integrating with databases and third-party services. The role involves close collaboration with product managers, architects, and engineers to translate business requirements into end-to-end technical solutions, while following secure coding and performance best practices. The Full Stack Developer will participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and continuously improve development processes and tooling.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, with hands-on experience across the full stack using Node.js, React.js, and Next.js.
- Solid experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating with relational and non-relational databases.
- Proficiency in server-side development with Node.js, including event-driven architecture and asynchronous programming patterns.
- Experience with React.js for building dynamic, component-based user interfaces, and Next.js for server-side rendering and static site generation.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented and functional programming principles and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- A full-stack background covering both front-end and back-end development is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team environment with strong communication and collaboration skills.
