About the Company

JobFinder AI helps job seekers discover relevant job opportunities across company career sites and job boards. Its platform matches openings to candidates’ preferences and helps streamline the application process. The company is founder-led and fully remote, with a small team focused on building and improving its product.

About the Role

JobFinder AI is looking for a hands-on Frontend Engineer to build and maintain the pages and application screens candidates use to find, evaluate, and apply for jobs. You’ll work on real production features from day one, helping improve the experience for thousands of job seekers.

This role is suited to an early-career developer who has a solid foundation in React and JavaScript or TypeScript and is ready to take ownership of features from idea to launch. You’ll work directly with the founder, contribute to product improvements, and see how your work affects user experience and product performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and ship end-to-end features using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
  • Improve onboarding and checkout flows, using analytics to measure the impact of changes.
  • Develop SEO-friendly pages with appropriate metadata, structured data, and translated versions.
  • Improve page speed and performance, particularly on mobile devices and slower networks.
  • Investigate and fix production issues reported by users.
  • Take loosely defined features from initial ideas through implementation and release, seeking guidance when needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 0–3 years of experience building web applications with React. Internships, freelance work, and substantial personal projects are also considered.
  • Solid fundamentals in JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Familiarity with Next.js or another server-rendered React framework, or a strong willingness to learn quickly.
  • Ability to work through feature requirements, make practical decisions, and take responsibility for delivering work to production.
  • Clear written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, asynchronous team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Tailwind CSS.
  • Familiarity with web performance optimization, including Core Web Vitals and caching.
  • Experience deploying applications on Vercel, Cloudflare, or similar platforms.

Work Arrangement & Team Culture

  • Work Arrangement: Fully remote
  • Team Structure: Small, founder-led team
  • Working Style: Asynchronous, with an emphasis on clear written communication and minimal unnecessary meetings.

You’ll work directly with the founder, receive mentorship, and have opportunities to take ownership of meaningful product features. The team moves quickly, allowing improvements to reach users without long delays. Your contributions will be visible through their impact on the product and its performance.
