Role Description The Next.js Developer role is a full-time remote position focused on building and maintaining modern web applications using Next.js and related technologies. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and implementing responsive user interfaces, developing server-side rendered and static pages, integrating APIs and data sources, and ensuring high performance and reliability across devices. The role involves collaborating with designers, product owners, and other engineers to refine requirements, implement features, and participate in code reviews. The Next.js Developer is also expected to follow best practices for accessibility, security, and testing, and contribute to documentation and continuous improvement of the codebase and development processes.
Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Next.js and React, including experience with server-side rendering, static site generation, and routing.
• Solid front-end skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3 (including modern frameworks such as Tailwind CSS or styled-components).
• Experience working with RESTful or GraphQL APIs, JSON data handling, and integration with backend services.
• Knowledge of modern web development tools and workflows, such as Git, Node.js, package managers (npm/yarn), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of performance optimization, SEO considerations for Next.js applications, and basic web accessibility standards.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and practices (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, end-to-end testing tools) is beneficial.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, manage time independently, and communicate clearly with distributed teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Previous experience in a tech-focused organization or contributing to open-source projects is a plus.
