We’re hiring a Frontend React / Next.js Developer (AI & Desktop Focus) to work on a modern AI-powered enterprise search and Gen-AI platform.

Priority will be given to candidates who already have professional experience working on or with AI platforms.

You’ll work on a production frontend built with Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and a growing internal design system called Opal. The role is ideal for someone who can build clean, scalable UI for complex workflows like chat, document search, admin dashboards, file previews, connector management, and AI assistant experiences.

What you’ll work on

• Build and maintain frontend features using React, Next.js App Router, and TypeScript
• Develop reusable UI with Tailwind CSS, Radix UI, Headless UI, and the internal Opal design system
• Work with client-side data fetching using SWR and state management with Zustand
• Build advanced product interfaces involving tables, filters, forms, modals, drag-and-drop, document previews, markdown rendering, charts, and AI chat flows
• Design, package, and optimize cross-platform desktop applications using Electron.js and/or Tauri, ensuring native performance, secure IPC, and OS-level integrations
• Architect and implement AI-native frontend experiences: streaming LLM responses, prompt/state management, tool-use UIs, and RAG-driven workflows
• Improve frontend quality using Jest, Testing Library, Playwright, and Storybook
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers working on FastAPI, search, RAG, document indexing, and AI workflows
• Maintain strict TypeScript quality, clean component architecture, and consistent design system usage

Required skills

• Strong experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript
• Demonstrated proficiency in integrating AI/LLM features into frontend applications (streaming UIs, chat/agent interfaces, prompt management, AI state handling)
• Hands-on experience building and shipping desktop applications with Electron.js or Tauri (packaging, auto-updates, native APIs, security best practices, cross-platform compatibility)
• Good understanding of Tailwind CSS and component-based UI architecture
• Experience with frontend libraries such as Radix UI, Headless UI, SWR, Zustand, React Table, Formik/Yup
• Ability to build responsive, accessible, production-ready interfaces
• Experience writing frontend tests with Jest, Testing Library, or Playwright
• Comfortable working in a real product codebase with design systems, linting, formatting, and CI checks

Nice to have & Priority Focus

• Already professional with, or currently working on, AI platforms, Gen-AI products, or LLM-driven SaaS (these candidates will be given priority)
• Experience with AI products, enterprise SaaS, search interfaces, chat UIs, or document-heavy applications
• Experience with Storybook, Sentry, PostHog, charts, markdown rendering, or file preview workflows
• Understanding of API-driven frontend development and backend/frontend coordination
• Familiarity with Rust (for Tauri), Node.js native modules, or desktop security/compliance standards
