About The Role
In this role, you will contribute to the design and delivery of secure, scalable, and
cloud-native digital solutions for a leading European public sector organization. Working across the full technology stack, you will help modernize mission-critical platforms, influence architectural decisions, and build high-quality software that delivers measurable value to end users
Responsibilities
- Design and develop modern front-end architectures using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and contemporary frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js
- Build and maintain secure backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Node.js, or PHP technologies
- Create scalable RESTful APIs and web services while ensuring compliance with security and performance standards
- Implement business-critical functionality following software engineering best practices, coding standards, and design principles
- Develop responsive, cross-browser web applications that deliver an excellent user experience across devices
- Integrate distributed systems using API gateways, Kafka, Axon Server, and event-driven architectures
- Optimize application performance, database interactions, and system reliability across relational and non-relational databases
- Establish CI/CD pipelines and manage cloud deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Bicep
- Apply security best practices, including authentication, authorization, input validation, secure data handling, logging, and monitoring
- Troubleshoot, test, debug, and continuously improve software solutions to meet functional and non-functional requirements
- Produce technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing across engineering teams
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless integration between front-end and back-end components
Requirements
- University degree corresponding to Level 7 of the European Qualifications Framework (which typically corresponds to a master’s level or 5 years of higher education), and minimum 10 years of IT professional experience; or University degree corresponding to Level 6 of the European Qualifications Framework (which typically corresponds to a bachelor’s level or 3 years of higher education) and minimum 12 years of IT professional experience
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for enterprise web application development
- Advanced experience with Angular, React, Vue.js, Bootstrap, Webpack, or Vite.
- Extensive backend development expertise using Java, Spring Boot 3.4.x, Hibernate, REST APIs, Node.js, or PHP
- Solid experience designing and optimizing relational databases such as PostgreSQL and Oracle, as well as non-relational databases including MongoDB
- Practical expertise with Git-based development workflows and familiarity with SVN environments
- Strong understanding of cloud-native application development and operations within AWS or Azure environments
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code solutions, including Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Bicep
- Proven ability to design, build, secure, and document RESTful APIs using OpenAPI and Swagger standards
- Experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployments
- Advanced knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, and modern identity management practices
- Demonstrated expertise with Kafka, Axon Server, Elasticsearch, and distributed system architectures
- Experience implementing API management solutions using WSO2 API Manager, Amazon API Gateway, Azure API Gateway, or Google Apigee
- In-depth knowledge of CSDR and its practical application within enterprise environments
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in multicultural, cross-functional teams
- Professional proficiency in English or French at B2 level or above
