About the Opportunity:

The SOFTWARE ENGINEER 3 will develop and enhance technology that helps patients understand and manage healthcare costs. This role involves innovating with AI and machine learning features, creating full-stack solutions that empower patients in their financial healthcare journey, and integrating with financial partners. The position contributes directly to improving patient experience by delivering accessible, flexible, and personalized financial tools, while also guiding technical direction and mentoring team members.

Responsibilities:

• Experiment with and implement AI and ML-powered features including integration of large language models
• Design, develop, and deploy full-stack patient financial solutions
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and partner teams to translate ideas into production-ready software
• Lead technical planning and coordinate complex development efforts
• Mentor peers and help shape team direction

Requirements:

• Proficient in independent coding and problem-solving with attention to complex cases and efficiency
• Genuine full-stack experience with React/TypeScript and Python/Django or comparable technologies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly convey technical concepts
• Commitment to engineering best practices including clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and solve complex problems
• User-focused with an understanding of patient needs
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI and large language models preferred

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Salary range: $170,000 to $215,000, subject to location, experience, and education
