Role Description The Website Developer is a full-time, on-site role based in the San Antonio, Texas Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the organization’s website to ensure it is visually appealing, user-friendly, and aligned with branding and mission. Day-to-day tasks include building and updating web pages, implementing responsive layouts, optimizing site performance, and ensuring accessibility and security best practices. The Website Developer will collaborate with program staff and leadership to translate organizational needs into effective web features and content structures, troubleshoot technical issues, and regularly improve the user experience through testing and refinements.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Front-End Development and Web Design to create responsive, accessible, and visually consistent user interfaces.
• Candidates should possess skills in Back-End Web Development and Programming to build, integrate, and maintain application logic, databases, and server-side functionality.
• Candidates should possess skills in overall Web Development to manage site architecture, performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience with modern web technologies and frameworks (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a common backend language or framework) is preferred.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards, SEO basics, and security best practices is beneficial.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
• Relevant education or training in computer science, web development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
