Our client is an established German technology company operating at the intersection of real estate, data and digital services. They are currently modernising their technology landscape and are looking for a very experienced Senior C#/.NET Software Developer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Position description

They're looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer who enjoys strong software architecture, takes genuine ownership and wants to work on products where complex business requirements meet modern engineering.

While this is a full-stack position, the role is clearly backend-heavy, with C#/.NET at its core and Angular on the frontend.

What you'll be doing:

  • You'll design, build and operate backend applications using C# and .NET, while contributing to Angular applications on the frontend.
  • A particularly interesting part of the role is the ongoing modernisation of the technology stack, including a transition from a traditional Microsoft environment, such as Windows Server and MS SQL towards, Linux, Docker and Kubernetes.
  • You'll work closely with Product Managers, business teams and other stakeholders to turn complex requirements into pragmatic technical solutions. You'll own features throughout their lifecycle, from understanding the initial requirement through implementation, testing and production.
  • This isn't a role where you're expected to simply work through Jira tickets. You'll be encouraged to challenge requirements, understand the wider business context and propose better solutions where appropriate.
  • You'll also contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews and engineering standards, with a strong focus on clean code, maintainability, performance, security and testing.
  • As a senior member of the team, you'll share your experience with other engineers and act as a technical sparring partner when needed.

What we're looking for:

  • Several years of recent professional experience with C#/.NET
  • Strong experience building and operating web applications
  • Good knowledge of relational databases, ideally MS SQL
  • Experience designing and working with APIs
  • Full-stack experience, ideally including Angular
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, Clean Code, maintainability, performance and security
  • Experience with unit, integration and E2E testing
  • Comfortable working in product environments with complex business requirements
  • Experience with Agile development and cross-functional stakeholder collaboration
  • Someone who takes ownership, questions requirements and thinks beyond individual tickets
  • Interest in modern engineering practices and actively exploring how AI can improve software development
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and/or Linux environments would be particularly relevant given the ongoing platform migration.
  • German C1

What you'll get:

The company offers a flexible working setup, with the option to work remotely within Germany or from one of its offices.

You'll receive 30 days of annual leave, structured onboarding with a dedicated buddy, regular feedback and development conversations, team events and offsites, as well as additional employee benefits.

More importantly, you'll be joining during a period of genuine technical transformation, giving you the opportunity to influence how the platform evolves rather than simply maintaining what already exists.
