Few&Far has partnered with a Series A security startup based in the US. The company helps modern organisations scale SaaS security by collaborating with employees rather than restricting them. Their patented SaaS discovery technology provides IT and security teams with complete visibility into all SaaS and cloud assets, along with automated workflows that guide employees toward safer practices.

We’re looking for a hands-on Tech Lead who is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and strong team player. In addition to leading development efforts, you will manage a small team of two senior developers while remaining actively involved in coding and technical delivery.

Responsibilities;

  • Write clean, high-quality, high-performance, and maintainable code
  • Lead the development of new browser extensions and plugins
  • Act as a technical lead for a team of two senior developers
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices are followed
  • Lead architectural discussions and contribute to technical decision-making
  • Delegate tasks effectively and support the development of team members
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure projects meet business objectives and compliance standards
  • Support testing and deployment of new products and features

What You'll Do

Extension Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality browser extensions across Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge), Firefox, and Safari.
  • Implement extension features that handle sensitive operations, including authentication monitoring, password management, and AI platform monitoring, with security and privacy as first principles.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility, optimal performance, and resilience against the constant churn of browser API and web platform changes.

Technical Design & Architecture

  • Own the technical architecture of the extension: content script / service worker boundaries, messaging patterns, state management, data pipelines back to the platform, and update/release strategy.
  • Lead technical design for hard problems — turning ambiguous product goals into well-reasoned designs, prototypes, and phased delivery plans.
  • Author design documents, run design reviews, and establish engineering standards and patterns the whole team can build on.
  • Mentor other engineers through code review, pairing, and design collaboration, raising the overall technical bar of the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field)
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience building Chrome extensions and other browser extensions is a must
  • Expertise in Plasmo or similar technologies (WXT, CRX)Strong experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
  • Previous experience in a Tech Lead or mentoring capacity is highly desirable
