Role Description The Industrial Software Developer is a full-time, on-site role based in Sălaj, Romania. The person in this role will design, develop, and maintain software solutions that support industrial processes, including production line monitoring, equipment integration, and data collection systems. Daily responsibilities include writing and testing code, implementing back-end services and APIs, troubleshooting software issues, and collaborating with engineering, production, and quality teams to translate operational needs into reliable software tools. The Industrial Software Developer will also contribute to system architecture decisions, optimize performance and reliability, document technical solutions, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives for manufacturing and product traceability systems.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science and Software Development, with the ability to design, implement, and maintain robust industrial software solutions.
  • Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), including experience with at least one modern programming language commonly used in back-end or industrial applications.
  • Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, building APIs and services that integrate with production systems, databases, and industrial equipment.
  • Ability to analyze manufacturing workflows and translate operational requirements into technical specifications and scalable software architectures.
  • Familiarity with databases, version control systems (e.g., Git), and basic networking concepts relevant to industrial environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders in engineering and production.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience; previous experience in industrial or manufacturing settings is an advantage.
