React Developer

Forward Digital builds the music distribution and catalog protection platform for independent labels. Distribution, analytics, contracts, payouts, promotion and anti-piracy protection, in one platform, alongside authio, our forensic AI music detection product.

We are hiring a React Developer who understands music distribution from the inside to build the interfaces our partner labels rely on every day. This is a fully remote position open to candidates based anywhere in the European Union.

The role

• Build distribution workflows end to end: release creation, metadata, assets, delivery and takedowns
• Design interfaces that make complex catalog operations simple and error-proof
• Build data-rich views: catalog management, DSP delivery status, analytics and royalty statements
• Turn approved designs into pixel-perfect, responsive interfaces
• Create reusable components for our design system
• Write clean, strictly typed, tested code and take part in code reviews

What we expect

• 3+ years building production applications with React
• Hands-on understanding of music distribution workflows: release lifecycle, metadata standards (ISRC, UPC, DDEX), DSP delivery and royalty reporting
• Strong TypeScript, with strict typing as a habit
• Solid command of modern CSS, responsive layout and accessibility
• An eye for detail: spacing, typography and motion matter to you
• Comfortable with Git and a pull-request workflow
• Professional English

Distinguishing experience

• Previous work at a distributor, label or music-tech company
• Familiarity with splits, contracts and payout flows
• Data visualization (D3, Recharts or similar)
• Experience with Node.js
