Role Description

The Full Stack Engineer role at Sonnet Code is a full-time, on-site position based in Santo Domingo de Guzmán. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain end-to-end web applications, including front-end interfaces and back-end services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions, and ensure seamless integration with AI, mobile, and cloud components where applicable. Day-to-day tasks include implementing responsive UI, developing APIs, optimizing performance, writing clean and testable code, troubleshooting technical issues, and participating in code reviews. You will also contribute to architectural decisions, maintain documentation, and support continuous improvement of engineering practices.


Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Full-Stack Development and Software Development, including experience building and deploying production-grade applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Front-End Development and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), focused on responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Solid background in Back-End Web Development, including API design, data modeling, and integration with databases and cloud services.
  • Familiarity with modern frameworks and tools (Angular, Node.js, Oracle DB, TypeScript, MongoDB) and version control systems such as Git.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and understanding of basic DevOps practices, deployment pipelines, and monitoring.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams, communicate clearly, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with AI or mobile development is a plus, as well as prior work in timezone-aligned, client-facing engineering roles.
