About the Role

Arkan Marketing Services is looking for a highly capable and delivery-focused Full Stack Developer to build and maintain e-commerce websites, mobile applications, internal systems, APIs, dashboards, and automation tools across multiple retail brands.

This is a hands-on development role for someone who can understand business requirements quickly, recommend the right technical solution, and take a project from initial concept to a stable production system.

The ideal candidate must be able to manage multiple projects, work independently, solve complex technical problems, and use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve development speed and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high-performance e-commerce websites, web applications, mobile apps, and internal business systems.

• Translate business requirements and manual processes into structured, scalable digital solutions.

• Develop responsive storefronts and web applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Tailwind CSS.

• Work with Shopify, WooCommerce, and custom commerce backends.

• Develop product pages, collections, search, filters, carts, checkout flows, customer accounts, wishlists, loyalty features, and order-tracking tools.

• Build and maintain customer-facing mobile applications for iOS and Android using React Native, Flutter, Expo, or similar technologies.

• Design scalable backend systems using Node.js, TypeScript, Python, REST APIs, webhooks, background jobs, queues, authentication, and role-based permissions.

• Design and manage databases using PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, or similar technologies.

• Integrate payment gateways, ERP systems, inventory platforms, delivery providers, CRM systems, WhatsApp APIs, analytics tools, and marketing platforms.

• Develop custom Shopify applications, plugins, APIs, and third-party integrations when required.

• Build internal platforms for product management, inventory, procurement, restocking, order management, customer service, approvals, reporting, and workflow automation.

• Improve website speed, Core Web Vitals, SEO, mobile usability, conversion performance, API response times, database queries, caching, and application scalability.

• Implement secure authentication, permissions, input validation, rate limiting, secrets management, API security, and secure deployment practices.

• Test, debug, maintain, and improve existing applications and codebases.

• Deploy and manage applications using Git, GitHub, Linux, Docker, CI/CD, Nginx, Vercel, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or similar services.

• Set up appropriate logging, monitoring, backups, error tracking, and production support.

• Use AI development tools such as Codex, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and AI coding agents to accelerate development, debugging, testing, documentation, and code review.

• Review, test, and take full responsibility for all AI-generated code before deployment.

• Create reusable systems and components that can support multiple brands and future projects.

• Maintain clear technical documentation and organised development records.

• Manage multiple development projects and deliver reliable, production-ready solutions within agreed timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• At least three years of professional Full Stack Development experience.

• Strong portfolio demonstrating real, production-level websites, applications, or software systems.

• Strong experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and responsive frontend development.

• Strong backend development experience using Node.js, TypeScript, Python, or similar technologies.

• Experience building or maintaining e-commerce platforms using Shopify, WooCommerce, or custom commerce systems.

• Strong experience with REST APIs, webhooks, authentication, third-party integrations, and payment systems.

• Good understanding of database architecture, data relationships, indexing, query optimisation, scalability, and data security.

• Mobile application development experience using React Native, Flutter, Expo, or similar technologies is strongly preferred.

• Experience with cloud deployment, Git, Docker, CI/CD, Linux, and production server management.

• Good understanding of application security, performance optimisation, testing, monitoring, and debugging.

• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools as part of a professional workflow.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to research and work with unfamiliar technologies.

• Able to understand business requirements, recommend practical solutions, and work independently from concept to production.

• Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.

• Based in Qatar and available to work full-time on-site in Doha.
