About The Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Web Developer to join our dynamic IT team at SmartSourcing Ltd. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing new applications and maintaining existing web-based systems that support our supply chain operations. Working closely with the WMS Development Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless functionality, security, and performance of our web applications. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency of our logistics processes and enhance the user experience for our internal teams and clients. Qualifications

• Proven experience in web and application development, ideally within a 3PL or logistics environment.
• Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET Framework, including experience with .NET 8 / .NET 10.
• Hands-on experience with ASP.NET Web Forms, ASP.NET Core, and REST/Web APIs.
• Solid understanding of SQL Server, with strong T-SQL skills, including stored procedures, views, functions, and complex queries.
• Experience with Entity Framework / EF6 and version control systems such as Git.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of Windows Services and understanding of various deployment environments (DEV/TEST/PRE-PROD/PROD).
• Familiarity with application security, authentication, and role-based access control.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate situations and develop effective solutions.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support full lifecycle application development, ensuring timely resolution of issues and implementation of fixes or workarounds.
• Maintain source control of codebases using agreed-upon tools, ensuring code is always checked in and up-to-date.
• Collaborate with other developers to develop new applications or enhance existing systems, fostering a team-oriented approach.
• Manage the Solar Winds Service Desk system by identifying and categorizing issues, re-allocating tasks as necessary, and ensuring prompt resolution.
• Handle change requests related to CIA, including identifying issues, providing fixes, and coordinating with team members for resolution.
• Research and evaluate new software tools, techniques, or methodologies to improve current applications and develop future solutions.
• Monitor application performance and reliability, ensuring secure, efficient, and user-friendly systems for end-users.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to uphold quality standards and facilitate ongoing maintenance.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to web development and logistics solutions.
