Who we are
Breathment is a digital health startup developing an AI-powered platform for pulmonary rehabilitation. Our solution enables healthcare professionals to remotely monitor and support patients with chronic respiratory diseases, while providing patients with evidence-based digital therapy at home.
We are looking for a Software Engineer to help us build and scale our backend systems and contribute to the next generation of digital healthcare.
What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain backend features using Python
- Build and extend REST APIs and backend services
- Work with MongoDB and ensure data quality, performance, and reliability
- Analyze product requirements and implement scalable solutions
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and engineering best practices
What we expect from you
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development
- Strong experience in software and REST API development using Python (FastAPI)
- Experience in NoSQL databases and specifically MongoDB
- Solid knowledge of Docker and containerized deployments is a must
- Familiarity with version control (Git), GitHub (or similar)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
- Strong analytical thinking
- Proficiency in English
- Independent and structured way of working
- Passion for startups, willingness to learn, and taking responsibility
