Role Description The Software Engineer role at Fesco MZ is 6-12 months contract remotly. The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain Odoo software solutions that support production, logistics, and operational workflows across the construction value chain. Daily tasks include writing and
testing code, implementing back-end services and APIs, integrating systems with industrial and business platforms, and troubleshooting
technical issues. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, improve system performance, and ensure software reliability and
security. The Software Engineer will document solutions, participate in code reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, with understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.
- Proficiency in odoo Software Development and Programming, including experience designing, implementing, and maintaining production-ready applications.
- Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, working with server-side frameworks, APIs, databases, and integration with other systems.
- Solid skills in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), including designing modular, reusable, and maintainable code architectures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Experience with industrial, manufacturing, or construction-related systems, and knowledge of software security and reliability best practices, is an advantage.
