The Opportunity

We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to help build and scale the core GoAccess platform. This is not a role where you'll own a single service or a narrow area of the stack. You'll work across frontend applications, backend services, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and integrations with external systems and hardware. You'll have significant ownership from day one, leading the development of new product capabilities that create value for customers and drive business growth. We move quickly, ship often, and expect engineers to take ideas from concept to production.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable building customer-facing React applications and scalable backend systems in Node.js and possesses the communication skills to work directly with clients, understand their needs, and help deliver reliable, impactful solutions across the platform.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and launch new product features from concept through production
• Lead engineering initiatives that drive customer value and create new revenue opportunities
• Develop and maintain full stack applications using React, TypeScript, and Node.js
• Build scalable APIs, backend services, and data integrations
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases and data workflows
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to increase engineering velocity while maintaining high standards for code quality
• Collaborate closely with product, operations, sales, and company leadership
• Work directly with customers to troubleshoot issues and deliver effective technical solutions
• Integrate with third-party APIs, webhooks, access control systems, and other external platforms
• Contribute to architectural decisions that impact platform scalability and reliability
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from product discovery through deployment and support

What We’re Looking For:

Required Experience

• Must be based in the United States
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and React
• Experience building production-grade web applications and backend services
• Strong understanding of API design, distributed systems, and application architecture
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational database technologies
• Cloud experience with GCP and/or AWS
• Proven ability to independently drive projects from requirements through deployment
• Experience integrating with third-party systems and APIs
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working directly with customers, stakeholders, or cross-functional business teams
• Strong English communication skills

What Makes You Stand Out

• Experience at an early-stage startup or high-growth technology company
• Experience building products from 0 to 1
• Experience working with access control technologies, IoT devices, computer vision, or LPR systems
• Familiarity with SIP, WebRTC, intercom technologies, or hardware-connected software platforms
• Mobile development experience using Swift or Kotlin
• Experience building payment systems, operational software, or mission-critical applications
• Demonstrated success in fast-paced environments with high levels of ownership
