#JLLTechAmbitions — The JLL Technologies Software Engineering team brings successful technology products to market, accelerating technology adoption in commercial real estate and shaping the future of real estate for a better world.

We're looking for a capable Full Stack Developer to build and own features for a flagship CRE product across React, TanStack, Python, Django, and DRF — working independently from UI through API design, with growing ownership over what you build.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently design, build, and maintain front end and backend portions of features, tech debt, and bug fixes.
• Build React UI using TanStack Query/Table/Router; design and implement DRF API endpoints.
• Partner with PMs and developers to ideate features and scope technical approaches.
• Improve existing systems, applying good security practices across the stack.
• Write thorough unit/integration tests; review others' code with substantive feedback.
• Deploy via runbook and help improve it; write technical documentation for owned features.
• Use AI-assisted tools (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot) for implementation and test writing, validating all output.
  
  

Experience & Education

• Undergraduate or higher degree in CS, Engineering, or relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience as a full stack or front end-leaning developer using React.
• Working experience with a backend framework; Python/Django strongly preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills; comfortable working through ambiguity on scoped features.
• Experience in Agile environments; able to mentor junior engineers.
  
  

Technical Skills

• Solid hands-on React experience: hooks, component architecture, state management.
• Practical experience with TanStack Query, Table, and/or Router.
• Working proficiency in Python, Django, and DRF for building and maintaining APIs.
• Experience writing automated tests (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, pytest).
• Practical use of AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot), knowing when to verify output.
  
  

Nice to Have

• CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment (AWS, Azure) experience.
• Exposure to performance profiling/optimization on React apps.
• Familiarity with Docker and infrastructure basics.
