Role Description As a full-time
Frontend Web Developer at CodNesta Academy, you will design, build, and maintain responsive
web interfaces that support our online learning experiences. In this remote role, you will translate UI/UX designs into clean, accessible, and performant front-end code, ensuring compatibility across modern browsers and devices. You will collaborate with designers, curriculum developers, and other engineers to implement new features, improve usability, and refine user journeys for learners and educators. Your day-to-day work will include developing reusable components, optimizing page load performance, integrating with back-end services via APIs, and troubleshooting front-end issues. You will also participate in code reviews, contribute to documentation and design standards, and help shape the technical direction of our EdTech platforms as the initiative scales.
Qualifications
- Strong Front-End Development skills, including proficiency in modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and experience building component-based interfaces (e.g., React, Vue, or similar).
- Demonstrated ability in Responsive Web Design and Web Development, with a focus on accessibility, cross-browser compatibility, and mobile-first implementation.
- Understanding of Back-End Web Development concepts and Software Development principles, including working with RESTful APIs, version control (Git), and basic debugging across the stack.
- Experience or strong interest in EdTech, online learning platforms, or education-focused products, especially within access- and inclusion-oriented initiatives.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with front-end build tools and workflows (e.g., npm, Webpack, Vite), basic testing practices, and performance optimization techniques.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; a portfolio or GitHub demonstrating relevant projects is strongly preferred.
