A leading media and technology company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team. They operate a powerful product discovery platform that connects shoppers with desired products from thousands of retail partners, creating deeply personalized shopping experiences by leveraging user-saved, organized, and shared product data.

The Role

• Partner with engineers across data, web, and mobile to build and evolve foundational services.
• Design and implement new services, APIs, and operational monitoring functions.
• Own production services end-to-end, investigating issues, resolving bottlenecks, and identifying improvements.
• Lead code reviews, mentor engineers, and advocate for best practices.
• Drive identification and prioritization of technical debt.
• Provide thorough, readable documentation for owned services.
  
  

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant experience.
• 5+ years of relevant professional technology experience.
• Deep understanding of REST, service architecture, monitoring, and horizontal scalability.
• Experience developing complex, highly available services in a production environment.
• Extensive knowledge of object-oriented and functional software design patterns.
• Proven experience owning production services deployed in AWS or Google Cloud Platform, leveraging containers and CI.
• Extensive experience using Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS, with some Java and GraphQL knowledge.
