About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Software Development Engineer (m/w/d) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing project-specific software solutions that control our state-of-the-art mixing and dosing systems, as well as automation and plant technology. Your expertise will ensure the seamless integration and operation of our complex machinery, supporting both the development and deployment phases. You will be involved in the entire lifecycle of our automation projects, from initial programming to commissioning and customer support. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative technologies within a global organization, contributing to the advancement of automation solutions in the plastics processing industry.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable qualification with relevant experience in machinery or automation engineering. Proficiency in programming environments such as Step7 Classic and TIA Portal is essential, along with experience in creating graphical user interfaces using TIA WinCC. Knowledge of TwinCAT 3.1 and TwinCAT 3 HMI is highly desirable, as is familiarity with commissioning Sinumerik, Beckhoff, or similar controllers. Good command of English, both written and spoken, is required, and willingness to travel for on-site support and commissioning activities is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop project-specific software for controlling high-tech mixing and dosing systems, as well as automation and process technology.
• Support the commissioning process to ensure optimal functionality and performance of machinery at customer sites.
• Provide technical support to customers and internal teams, addressing software-related issues and optimizing system performance.
• Handle modifications and upgrades of existing systems, ensuring seamless integration and operation.
• Collaborate closely with hardware engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver tailored automation solutions.
• Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and documentation of software applications to maintain high quality standards.
