Our subsidiary, Hogrefe Digital Solutions GmbH, develops the Hogrefe Test System (HTS), a web platform for comprehensive psychological online assessments. We are looking for a full-time Frontend Engineer (m/f/d) to strengthen our team. Supporting the team mission of bringing online psychological assessments to our HTS platform. The position can be filled on a part-time basis.

What will you be doing?

• You contribute to building innovative digital solutions for psychological testing
• You create intuitive and high-performance user interfaces, using modern web technologies such as React and Next.js
• You collaborate closely with designers and product managers, ensuring the developed features meet user needs and adhere to accessibility
• You continuously optimize our frontend performance, making sure our applications are responsive and user-friendly
• You actively participate in maintaining clean and efficient codebases, using version control tools like Git

Who are you?

Required Skills and Experience

• Frontend Development: At least 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in Frontend development within the EU
• Modern web frameworks: You're proficient in modern web frameworks, particularly React
• Frontend expertise: Strong foundation in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Web testing: Experience with web testing practices and web testing frameworks
• Optimization: You understand the importance of Frontend performance optimization
• Web accessibility: Solid knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices
• Version Control Systems: Familiarity with version control systems (Git) is part of your daily workflow
• Communication and Collaboration: You're experienced in collaborating effectively with designers and product managers as part of an agile team

Exceptional Qualifications

• Language Skills: You're fluent in English
• University Degree: A Computer Science degree or equivalent qualification is beneficial but not required
• Psychological Interest: You're curious and motivated by psychology, testing methodologies, and science
• Self-improvement: You possess a continuous learning mindset and actively seek to improve your skills
