Role Description This full-time Web Developer role is based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and follows a hybrid model, combining on-site work with some flexibility to work from home. The Web Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining responsive websites and web applications that support the company’s digital presence and customer-facing platforms. Day-to-day tasks include implementing front-end interfaces, building and integrating back-end services, optimizing performance, and ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, translating business requirements into technical solutions, maintaining code quality, and continuously improving user experience and security standards.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated skills in Front-End Development and Web Design to create responsive, user-friendly interfaces.
  • Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Programming to build, integrate, and maintain robust server-side functionality.
  • Solid understanding of overall Web Development principles, including performance optimization and security best practices.
  • Experience with modern web technologies and frameworks (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and a major front-end or back-end framework).
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, manage time independently, and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to clean, maintainable code.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing, packaging, or related industrial sectors is an advantage.
