We’re Hiring: Lead Full-Stack & Platform Engineer

We are looking for a highly experienced, hands-on software engineer who can work across application development, system architecture, databases, cloud platforms, DevOps and server infrastructure.

This role is for an expert programmer with strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability and more than 10 years of professional experience. We are not looking for someone limited to a single programming language, framework or platform. The successful candidate should be able to understand complex systems, learn unfamiliar technologies quickly and take complete ownership—from analysing a requirement and designing the solution to writing code, configuring servers, deploying applications and troubleshooting production issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain secure, scalable and high-performance web applications and enterprise platforms.
• Work across front-end, back-end, APIs, databases, infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Analyse complex technical requirements and convert them into practical, maintainable solutions.
• Develop and integrate applications using technologies such as .NET, Java, Liferay, Node.js, PHP and WordPress.
• Build modern front-end applications using Angular, React, Next.js, TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Design and implement REST APIs, microservices, third-party integrations and authentication solutions.
• Configure, manage and troubleshoot Linux and Microsoft Windows servers.
• Work with NGINX, Apache, IIS, PHP-FPM, application servers, load balancers, SSL certificates, DNS and networking configurations.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, environment configurations and rollback procedures.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Oracle.
• Deploy and manage solutions across AWS, Microsoft Azure and on-premises infrastructure.
• Convert Figma and design-system specifications into responsive, accessible and reusable front-end components.
• Build interfaces using semantic HTML, CSS, Tailwind CSS and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Optimise websites and applications for performance, accessibility, SEO and Core Web Vitals.
• Investigate production incidents, identify root causes and implement permanent solutions.
• Review code, improve development standards and support other developers in solving complex technical challenges.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, security, network, database, design and business teams.
• Own work end to end: requirement → architecture → code → deployment → monitoring → the 2 a.m. incident.

Required Experience and Skills

• More than 10 years of professional software development experience.
• Excellent programming fundamentals, data structures, logical thinking and debugging skills.
• Strong experience in system design, application architecture and enterprise development.
• Proven expertise in several of the following technologies:
• .NET and C#
• Java and Liferay
• Node.js and microservices
• PHP and WordPress
• Angular, React and Next.js

• Strong knowledge of API design, integration patterns, authentication and application security.
• Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows server administration.

• Experience with CI/CD, Git, deployment automation and environment management.
• Strong database design, optimisation and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience working with MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle or similar enterprise databases.
• Practical experience with AWS, Azure or hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, Tailwind CSS and reusable front-end architecture.
• Experience improving page performance, caching, scalability and Core Web Vitals.
• Ability to understand an existing codebase, even when it uses an unfamiliar technology.
• Ability to explain technical decisions clearly and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

We are looking for an expert engineer—not someone dependent on generated code without understanding its architecture, security, performance or long-term maintainability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on government, banking, financial or other enterprise-grade platforms.
• Experience managing high-traffic, bilingual or multilingual websites.
• Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards and modern design systems.
• Experience with containerisation, Docker, Kubernetes, monitoring and observability tools.
• Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, load balancing, backups and security hardening.
• Experience leading technical discussions, reviewing developers’ work and mentoring team members.

This is a hands-on technical position. It is suitable for someone who can operate as a senior developer, solution architect, DevOps engineer and technical problem-solver when required.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Full Stack Developer at 7G Media located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Full Stack Developer will be responsible for both front-end and back-end web development tasks, software development, and utilizing Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to design interactive user interfaces.

Qualifications
