About the Opportunity:

The SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER role is critical for delivering robust features across the Core Platform that underpins the organization's product suite. This position involves end-to-end ownership of complex software projects, ensuring high standards of code quality and scalability. The engineer's contributions directly support the platform's ability to protect a broad customer base and enhance operational confidence.

Responsibilities:

• Lead projects from design through rollout, ensuring full lifecycle completion
• Develop across frontend, backend, database, and infrastructure layers
• Decompose complex tasks into actionable milestones and stories
• Maintain high standards for code quality, scalability, and maintainability
• Propose technical solutions and contribute to innovation efforts
• Mentor and provide feedback to elevate team capabilities

Requirements:

• 8+ years developing complex, scalable software
• 5+ years expertise in Ruby on Rails with maintainable, efficient coding
• Proficiency in full-stack development including JavaScript, CSS, and modern Rails frontend frameworks
• Experience with Linux infrastructure, databases like Postgres or Clickhouse, and external API integration
• Skill in breaking down epics into actionable development tasks
• Collaborative experience in Agile teams with mentoring skills
• Proactive and responsible use of AI-assisted development tools
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience

Helpful but not required:

• AWS Cloud experience
• Experience with Ruby on Rails monoliths
• Interest in platform capabilities and Tailwind UI

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• $160,000 to $190,000 base salary plus bonus and equity
