About The Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Fullstack Web Developer specializing in PHP and WordPress to join our team in Viersen. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work within agile teams that emphasize flat hierarchies and individual creative freedom. As part of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining engaging websites and web applications. Your role will involve both frontend and backend development, with a focus on creating high-quality, performant, and visually appealing digital solutions for our clients. You will work on projects of varying sizes, from small websites to large-scale platforms exceeding 500 hours of development time. Collaboration with colleagues and direct client interaction will be integral to your daily work, providing a comprehensive experience in web development and client management.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in web development, with practical experience in PHP and WordPress. You should appreciate writing clean, maintainable code and prefer custom development over generic templates. Technical proficiency in WordPress environments, including experience with HTML, SCSS, JavaScript, and PHP, is essential. Familiarity with Docker and Git for version control and deployment is required. Knowledge of frameworks and tools such as Bootstrap, Symfony, and Twig will be advantageous, and experience with React or Vue.js is a plus. Additional familiarity with e-commerce platforms like Shopware, Shopify, Magento, or Gambio will set you apart. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain fullstack web applications, focusing on PHP, WordPress, and modern frontend technologies.
- Utilize Symfony and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL for project implementation and enhancement.
- Translate screendesigns into functional WordPress websites, ensuring pixel-perfect accuracy.
- Conduct technical and visual quality assurance of websites to meet high standards.
- Optimize website performance, supporting the SEO team to improve load times and user experience.
- Manage existing client websites, providing ongoing support and updates, including direct client communication if desired.
- Participate independently or collaboratively in medium to large projects, often exceeding 500 hours of development work.
