About The Role
AceStack LLC is seeking a Software Engineer to help design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions. In this role, you will work with colleagues across engineering, product, design, and other business functions to understand requirements and turn them into dependable technical outcomes. You will contribute throughout the development lifecycle, from exploring possible approaches and writing code to reviewing changes, resolving issues, and improving existing systems. The ideal candidate brings sound problem-solving skills, care for software quality, and a willingness to learn. You should be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, communicating technical concepts clearly, and adapting your approach as priorities evolve. Qualifications
Qualified candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. You should have a working knowledge of software development principles, common data structures, algorithms, and the software development lifecycle. Experience with at least one programming language and familiarity with version control, debugging, testing, and code review practices are expected. Candidates should be able to break down requirements, investigate issues, and explain their reasoning to technical and nontechnical colleagues. Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and attention to detail are important. Experience with cloud services, databases, APIs, automated testing, or modern development frameworks is an advantage, but not required for every candidate. A commitment to producing secure, accessible, and maintainable software is valued.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, test, and maintain software features in line with project requirements and established engineering practices. Collaborate with team members to clarify user needs, evaluate technical options, estimate work, and plan deliverables. Write readable, reusable code and contribute to documentation that supports ongoing development and maintenance. Participate in code reviews by offering constructive feedback and incorporating suggestions from colleagues. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects, performance concerns, and other technical issues. Develop and maintain automated tests where appropriate, and help ensure that changes are validated before release. Follow security and privacy practices when handling code, systems, and data. Communicate progress, risks, and blockers in a timely manner, and coordinate with relevant teams to keep work moving. Contribute ideas for improving development workflows, system reliability, and the overall quality of AceStack LLC’s software. Stay informed about relevant tools and practices, and share useful knowledge with the team.
