ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Jr. Developer with hands-on experience in Django and React/Next.js to join our team. In this role, you will independently design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications taking full ownership of the work you are given and driving it to completion. We value critical thinkers who question assumptions, make sound architectural decisions, and know how to design and optimize databases for performance at scale. You are expected to bring both backend discipline and frontend craftsmanship to every project, without needing constant direction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

▸ Independently design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications using Django and React/Next.js.

▸ Design and optimize relational database schemas for performance, including indexing strategies, query optimization, and efficient ORM usage.

▸ Identify and resolve N+1 query problems, slow queries, and other database-level bottlenecks using profiling and analysis tools.

▸ Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services and data sources.

▸ Write clean, well-documented, and testable code — and uphold the same standard in code reviews.

▸ Take full ownership of assigned features from design through deployment and post-release monitoring.

▸ Implement responsive UI components and ensure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility.

▸ Manage version control using Git, including branching strategies and pull request reviews.
