About the Project

This is an end-to-end platform spanning four core areas:

● CRM core: lead/opportunity management, 360° account view, workflow & approval

engine, custom object builder, role-based access control.

● Vendor Management & Invoicing: vendor master data, PO creation & approval, invoice

intake/OCR extraction, 3-way matching (PO, Goods Receipt, Invoice), payment tracking.

● Integration layer: two-way sync with our existing accounting system (Oracle NetSuite),

Google Workspace, and an internal API layer (REST/GraphQL) for other systems to

read/write platform data.

● Reporting & Analytics: real-time dashboards and a self-service report builder for each

department.

The platform is being built module by module rather than bought off the shelf, which means

most of the business logic, including the approval engine and cross-module data flow, must be

designed from scratch.

The project is still in early build-out (kickoff planned once the technical architecture is

finalized), so you'll have direct input into core architecture decisions and database design.

What You’ll Do

● Develop core CRM modules: Lead/Opportunity management, Contact/Account

management, custom fields/object builder.

● Design and build a configurable workflow and approval engine (multi-step, role-based,

department-specific).

● Build the Vendor Management/Invoicing module's backend logic (PO workflows,

approval routing, payment tracking).

● Implement the Cross-Module Integration Layer connecting CRM, Vendor Management,

and third-party tools via internal APIs.

● Integrate with external systems (existing accounting software, email/calendar platforms)

via REST/webhook-based integration.

● Implement role-based access control across all modules.

● Collaborate with the AI Engineer to expose relevant data/actions via API for AI Agent

consumption.

What We’re Looking For

● Strong backend development experience (Node.js/Python) and front end experience with

React

● Experience designing configurable workflow/approval engines (not hardcoded business

logic).

● Solid understanding of relational database design for multi-department, multi-tenant-like

data structures.

● Experience building and consuming REST APIs; webhook-based integration experience.

● Familiarity with role-based access control (RBAC) implementation.

Preferred

● Prior experience building custom CRM, ERP, or internal tools

● Experience integrating with accounting systems (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).

Experience Level

5+ years in full-stack development, with experience in at least one custom business-workflow

system build.
