## About the Role

JLL is seeking a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer to work at the intersection of software architecture, AI agents, data engineering, and full-stack development. This role partners directly with subject matter experts, product teams, and engineering teams to rapidly design, architect, prototype, and deploy solutions for high-priority business problems.

The position focuses on moving from concept to working prototype quickly while maintaining enterprise standards for quality, security, reliability, and scalability. As a senior technical owner, you will work across multiple teams, diagnose workflow and data challenges, architect solutions, and build production-ready implementations. The role also emphasizes AI-assisted development, custom AI coding assistant capabilities, AWS Bedrock AgentCore, Model Context Protocol (MCP), data pipelines, and technical leadership.

## Key Responsibilities

### Solution Design & Architecture

* Lead solution design for complex, cross-functional data and AI problems from initial discovery through technical blueprint.

* Evaluate and select appropriate tools and architectures across different platforms, data sources, and integration patterns.

* Define and communicate architecture decisions, trade-offs, and delivery approaches to technical and non-technical audiences.

* Design scalable and modular systems that balance rapid delivery with enterprise standards for reliability, security, and maintainability.

* Create technical documentation including architecture diagrams, data flow maps, API contracts, and solution briefs.

* Establish reusable architecture patterns and reference designs for adoption across engineering engagements.

* Deliver production-ready prototypes while maintaining enterprise engineering standards.

* Develop intuitive front-end interfaces and dashboards that present data and AI outputs to business users.

### AI Agent Development

* Design, build, and deploy AI agents and multi-agent systems that automate complex workflows.

* Develop and maintain reusable agent skills and plugins.

* Implement and extend Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and clients to connect agents with enterprise tools, APIs, and data sources.

* Design evaluation harnesses, guardrails, and monitoring pipelines to support agent reliability and safety in production on AgentCore.

* Stay current with AI coding assistants, AWS Bedrock AgentCore, the MCP ecosystem, and emerging agentic AI techniques.

### Practice Leadership & Technical Strategy

* Define and evolve delivery practices and playbooks used across multiple cross-functional teams.

* Serve as the technical escalation point for ambiguous or high-stakes technical problems.

* Provide input to the hiring manager regarding recurring technical patterns and roadmap priorities based on field experience.

* Mentor and develop engineers in AI-assisted agentic development, plugin design, and rapid solution delivery.

### Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

* Embed with multiple cross-functional teams to co-define problems and co-deliver solutions.

* Influence technical direction and build alignment across teams without relying on formal authority.

* Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical business stakeholders through writing, meetings, and presentations.

* Foster a collaborative environment where speed and quality work together.

## Required Qualifications

* 8–12+ years of software engineering experience.

* Substantial experience in customer-facing or embedded technical delivery roles.

* Strong software architecture background with the ability to independently design and defend system architecture across varied tools and platforms.

* Direct hands-on experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot as a primary development workflow.

* Direct hands-on experience building and deploying AI agents on AWS Bedrock AgentCore.

* Experience building custom plugins or skills for AI coding tools is a strong plus.

* Hands-on experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) server and client implementation.

* Data engineering experience, including building and redesigning data pipelines and data flows across varied sources.

* Full-stack development proficiency covering backend services, APIs, and front-end interfaces or dashboards.

* Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers.

* Experience defining technical standards adopted beyond individual projects.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to manage multiple concurrent internal stakeholder relationships.

* Ability to work across multiple platforms, tools, data sources, and integration patterns.
