Why we exist
We believe whoever applies first gets seen by recruiters. LinkedIn isn't built for this. Their business model depends on you spending as much time on the platform as possible, not on you finding the right job fast. With Jobfishing, we're building the job platform we wished we'd had.
Our mission: get the right jobs in front of Swiss knowledge workers before anyone else does. No endless feed, no doomscrolling. Only the jobs worth your time.
What you'll work on
•Our job ingestion pipeline: scraping company career pages and ATS sources, deduplication, and backfilling job content at scale
•LLM-based extraction that turns messy job descriptions and CVs into clean, structured data
•The matching engine: hard filters, embeddings (pgvector), and LLM scoring that decides which few jobs actually land in someone's inbox
•Observability and reliability, because a job we miss is a job our users never see
•The product itself, end to end: from the database to the email that tells someone "this one is for you"
Our stack
Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase (Postgres, pgvector), Trigger.dev, LLM APIs. We pick boring tools where we can and smart ones where it matters.
You might be a fit if you
•Have solid experience building and shipping web products, ideally full-stack with TypeScript
•Enjoy data-heavy problems: pipelines, scraping, dedup, search or matching
•Have worked with LLMs in production, or are itching to
•Like owning things end to end and talking directly with users
•Care about respecting people's time, in the product and in how we work
Bonus points
•Experience with Postgres at scale, vector search or ranking systems
•You've been through a frustrating job search yourself and have opinions about it
•German is a plus, English is our working language
What we offer
•Fully remote, flexible hours, start date by agreement
•Real ownership and direct impact in a small founding team
•A product built from the community, for the community
•No meetings for the sake of meetings
