About The Role
Kforce is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer (Angular) to contribute to the continued development of the client’s internal platform. In this hands-on role, you will work across backend services and modern user interfaces, applying deep expertise in Java, Spring-based frameworks, and Angular. You will collaborate with engineering teams to deliver features from initial design through implementation and maintenance.
This opportunity is suited to a senior engineer who can assess technical challenges, make sound design decisions, and explain the reasoning behind an approach to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders. You may also provide guidance to less experienced engineers and help the team move quickly while maintaining quality. Applicants selected for this role will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will bring substantial senior-level software engineering experience and a strong record of full stack development. Deep proficiency in Java and Spring-based backend frameworks, as well as Angular frontend development, is required. You should be comfortable moving seamlessly between frontend and backend systems and contributing to end-to-end application development.
Successful candidates demonstrate strong problem-solving and technical evaluation skills. You must be able to clearly communicate technical solutions and explain your design choices, implementation approach, and outcomes. Experience mentoring or leading engineers, including through informal guidance, is preferred. Experience working in secure or government-supported environments is also beneficial, as is the ability to assess technical fit and respond effectively in fast-paced situations.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain full stack applications, contributing to both frontend and backend components. Build and enhance backend services using Java and Spring-based frameworks, including work within the Springboard platform. Develop and maintain modern Angular applications that provide reliable and useful experiences for internal users.
Partner with engineering colleagues to plan and deliver features across the full development lifecycle. Evaluate technical challenges, identify practical options, and recommend effective solutions. Communicate technical decisions, implementation plans, and results clearly to stakeholders. Share knowledge and provide guidance to less experienced engineers when needed, while helping uphold sound development practices and consistent delivery.
