About The Role
We are seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join our team in Maryland Heights, MO. In this role, you will be responsible for developing
C# software solutions for the MQ-28 program, following a Scaled
Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge defense and aerospace projects, working within a collaborative and innovative environment.
The successful candidate will participate in a self-organizing development team, responsible for implementing various capabilities related to the MQ-28 program. You will develop and integrate software using
C# and
web technologies such as
HTML and
CSS, investigate and resolve software bugs, and maintain work items within
Azure DevOps. This role provides an excellent platform for professional growth and hands-on experience in a dynamic, high-tech setting.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science,
data science, physics, chemistry, mathematics, or related fields. Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance is required. Candidates should have at least 1+ year of experience in
C# .NET development. Prior experience working within an
Agile development environment, particularly SAFe, is highly desirable.
Preferred qualifications include 2+ years of
C# .NET development experience, a strong understanding of software development life cycles, and familiarity with
Azure DevOps or similar tools. Candidates with more extensive experience—up to 10+ years—are encouraged to apply, especially those with a proven track record in defense or aerospace software projects.
Responsibilities
- Participate actively in a self-organizing development team responsible for delivering MQ-28 related capabilities.
- Design, develop, and implement software solutions using C# and web technologies such as HTML and CSS.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software bugs and issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Maintain and update work items in Azure DevOps on a daily basis, ensuring transparency and progress tracking.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software components and ensure seamless operation within the overall system architecture.
- Adhere to SAFe Agile practices, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to uphold quality standards.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices to continually improve software solutions.
