Batchly Shop builds inventory and point-of-sale software for counterculture and specialty lifestyle retailers. We help store owners track products, run their registers, and take payments, all in one simple system. We're a small, growing team that moves fast and uses AI to build better software in less time.

Role Description

We're looking for a junior developer with a solid foundation in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and SQL. We build with AI tools like Claude Code and Cursor every day, so you'll be expected to use them heavily, and to know your fundamentals well enough to catch it when the AI gets something wrong. You'll help build features, fix bugs, and ship updates that shop owners use every day.

This is a full-time role. You can work remotely, and we have offices in the Tampa Bay area.

What You'll Do

• Build and ship new features, from idea to live
• Use AI coding tools to move fast, then review and fix what they write
• Fix bugs and improve how the app works for shop owners
• Work with our Postgres database: tables, queries, and security rules
• Help build payment, inventory, and reporting features
• Test your work so things don't break for customers
• Share new AI tools and workflows that help the team build faster

What We're Looking For

• 1+ years of coding experience (school, bootcamp, personal projects, or a job all count)
• Working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and React
• Basic SQL and an understanding of how relational databases work
• Experience connecting to APIs
• Comfortable with Git and GitHub
• Regular use of AI coding tools, and you can spot when they get it wrong
• A fast learner who can figure things out on your own
• Bonus: experience with Supabase or Postgres
• Bonus: experience with POS, payments, or inventory software
