About The Company

Bask Health is building software to improve how telehealth is delivered. Our platform supports the people and processes involved in patient care, and our engineering team works to make healthcare experiences more accessible, reliable, and thoughtfully designed. We are a collaborative, builder-led team that values initiative, clear communication, and practical problem-solving. Our serverless platform is organized as a multi-tenant monorepo, with Next.js and React on the frontend, tRPC and Prisma supporting backend services, SST for deployment, and TypeScript used throughout. This structure enables engineers to follow changes across the product, from the user interface to the database, without unnecessary team handoffs.

About The Role

As a Software Engineer at Bask Health, you will work directly with the CEO and CTO to design and build software infrastructure and product experiences that support the future of telehealth. This is an opportunity for an entrepreneurial full-stack engineer who enjoys taking ideas from an initial problem through implementation, testing, release, and ongoing improvement. You will contribute across the stack, take ownership of meaningful areas of the codebase, and help shape how the product evolves.

Engineering at Bask Health is AI-first and builder-led. We use tools such as Claude, Claude Code, and Cursor to investigate problems, explore approaches, plan work, and accelerate implementation. AI is part of the everyday workflow, while engineering judgment, careful testing, and the quality standards required in healthcare remain essential. You will validate work on staging with realistic data and learn from feedback from patients and care teams as products reach production.

Qualifications

You bring at least five years of software engineering experience and have helped take a product from concept to launch. You are a full-stack generalist with strong frontend skills and the ability to contribute effectively to backend systems. You are comfortable working independently, making sound technical decisions, and owning projects or substantial areas of a codebase. Experience building paid products or services is preferred.

Relevant technologies include React, TypeScript, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, SQL, tRPC, ORM tools, and SST. Experience with Prisma or Drizzle ORM is valuable. React Native or Expo experience is a plus. You communicate technical issues, trade-offs, and timelines clearly, and you are comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities may evolve. You are curious about AI-assisted development and able to use these tools thoughtfully while reviewing and validating their output.

Responsibilities

Design, build, test, and ship high-quality product experiences, owning work from early concept through production. Develop accessible, performant, and reliable interfaces, APIs, and data flows across the stack. Write maintainable code and meaningful tests, and help preserve and strengthen the team’s test suite.

Work with product and engineering leadership to translate user and business needs into clear technical plans. Prototype quickly, gather feedback from patients and care teams, and refine solutions with particular care in sensitive clinical contexts. Build reusable patterns that support scale and make future product development more efficient. Create transparent, trustworthy automation that clearly communicates what systems are doing on behalf of patients and providers. Help diagnose issues, improve performance and reliability, and share effective AI prompts and workflows with teammates without compromising quality or patient outcomes.

Benefits

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with company leadership, influence product and engineering decisions, and take meaningful end-to-end ownership. You will work across a modern technology stack on problems connected to real patient and care-team experiences. The collaborative, startup environment encourages initiative, learning, and practical experimentation, including the thoughtful use of AI tools to help deliver improvements efficiently.

Equal Opportunity

Bask Health is committed to providing equal employment opportunities. We welcome applicants with varied backgrounds and experiences and make employment decisions based on role-related qualifications, skills, and business needs, without discrimination prohibited by applicable law.
