About The Role

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer II to join our Automatic Tank Gauge team. This role is integral to designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge software solutions that enhance our automatic tank gauging and related platforms. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation, a strong technical background, and the desire to work on impactful projects that shape the future of fueling infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, mechanical, and quality assurance teams, to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions. Mentoring junior engineers and sharing your expertise in modern technology stacks and frameworks will be a key part of your responsibilities. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience developing software in object-oriented programming languages, preferably C++ or Java
  • Project leadership experience is preferred
  • Experience with continuous integration and automated testing technologies
  • Knowledge of REST APIs and JSON
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and related services
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and mentor junior staff

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement software solutions to meet business and technical requirements for automatic tank gauging systems
  • Identify opportunities to incorporate newer technology stacks and frameworks to improve product performance and maintainability
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, quality assurance, and other teams to deliver integrated solutions
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in best practices for design, coding, and technology adoption
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools
  • Ensure software quality through automated testing, code reviews, and documentation
  • Support deployment and maintenance of software solutions in cloud environments
