The Software Engineer II - Front End position is a remote opportunity designed for professionals passionate about developing user-centric web applications. As a key individual contributor within our dynamic team, you will support the delivery of high-quality front-end solutions aligned with federal standards and user needs. Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant engineering experience or a Bachelor's degree with equivalent additional experience
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular for building modern web applications
- Experience with server-side development using Python
- Ability to implement UI designs from Figma or similar design tools
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and their application in frontend development
- Experience working within CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git or GitLab
- Strong collaboration skills across engineering, QA, and design teams in an agile environment
- Must meet federal suitability requirements and pass a background investigation
- Develop and maintain user-facing applications using Angular, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring compliance with federal design standards
- Create and sustain automated test scripts for UI workflows using Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools
- Ensure frontend implementations adhere to WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards in collaboration with UX and accessibility teams
- Debug, optimize, and monitor applications across test and production environments
- Participate in peer code reviews, adhering to the four-eyes principle to maintain code quality
- Collaborate with backend engineers, QA, and UX designers to deliver comprehensive features from story refinement through deployment
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of Design System components to ensure consistency across modules
- Support on-call rotations and develop cross-functional knowledge through paired programming and team collaboration
- Engage in SAFe ceremonies such as sprint planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives to support agile delivery
