The Team You'll Work With

You'll join a fully remote development team, working closely with other developers and project stakeholders to build and improve software applications.

About the Role

We're looking for a Junior / Intermediate Software Developer with 1–5 years of practical experience in software development.

You'll help develop and maintain web applications, build frontend interfaces and backend services, integrate APIs, and troubleshoot technical issues.

This role is well suited to someone who has a solid understanding of software development fundamentals, enjoys writing clean and maintainable code, and wants to continue growing as an engineer.

You don't need to know every technology we use. We're interested in developers who can solve problems, learn quickly, and contribute effectively to a team.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using modern frontend and backend technologies.

• Build responsive, reusable frontend components using React.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js, Python, or related frameworks.

• Build and integrate RESTful APIs to support application functionality and third-party services.

• Work with relational and NoSQL databases to store, retrieve, and process application data.

• Troubleshoot bugs, investigate technical issues, and improve application performance.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code following established development practices.

• Participate in code reviews, contribute technical ideas, and learn from other developers.

• Collaborate with team members to understand requirements and deliver functional software features.

• Support software testing, debugging, and ongoing application maintenance.

• Contribute to technical documentation and help improve development workflows.

• Take ownership of assigned tasks and communicate progress clearly with the team.

What We're Looking For

• 1–5 years of professional or hands-on software development experience.

• Practical experience with JavaScript, Node.js, React.js, and Python, with stronger proficiency in at least one of these technologies.

• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and responsive web development.

• Familiarity with frontend development concepts, including components, state management, and API integration.

• Experience developing backend applications, working with HTTP requests, and building or consuming RESTful APIs.

• Basic understanding of database design and experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar databases.

• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and common version control workflows.

• Understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and general software engineering principles.

• Experience debugging applications and identifying common frontend or backend issues.

• Basic understanding of software testing and code quality practices.

• Ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into working features.

• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a distributed team.

• Willingness to learn unfamiliar technologies and continuously improve technical skills.

Nice to Have

While not required, experience with any of the following would be an advantage:

• TypeScript and modern JavaScript development practices.

• Frontend frameworks and libraries such as Next.js, Vue.js, or Angular.

• Backend frameworks such as Express.js, NestJS, Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

• Cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Docker, containerization, and basic CI/CD pipelines.

• Automated testing tools such as Jest, PyTest, Cypress, or Playwright.

• Authentication and authorization mechanisms, including JWT and OAuth.

• Redis, caching strategies, and basic application performance optimization.

• Familiarity with Linux environments and command-line tools.

• Experience with AI APIs, LLM integrations, or automation tools.

• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.

• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum software development practices.
