We’re building ITEcargo, software used to run courier and logistics operations across South Africa. You’ll work across the stack on problems that have immediate operational consequences: getting parcels tracked, priced, dispatched and delivered accurately.

The work spans shipment tracking, dispatch, maps and geospatial features, proof of delivery, customer portals, ecommerce and partner integrations, and tariff management. You may also work on parcel scanning, weighing and dimensioning workflows, and an in-house accounting platform covering invoicing and payroll.

The stack: PHP 8+, Laravel 10+, Vue 2.7+, JavaScript, MariaDB/MySQL and REST APIs. We use queues, events and Laravel Mix/Webpack, with deployment automation and infrastructure we operate ourselves.

You’ll be a good fit if you have:

• 3+ years building production applications with PHP/Laravel and JavaScript.
• Hands-on Vue experience and the ability to work confidently in an existing codebase.
• Strong SQL, debugging and performance skills.
• An interest in owning a feature from database and API through to UI and deployment.

Courier experience, third-party API integrations, Docker, Ansible and hardware integration are useful extras—not prerequisites.

We’re a small team, so you’ll have direct input and see your work used in day-to-day operations. Compensation is based on experience, and flexible arrangements, including remote options, are available.
