About Tillity

Tillity builds a trust layer for AI agents. We are early stage, out of UC Berkeley, and growing the team that builds the product.

The role

You will build core parts of the product end to end and shape it alongside the team. This is broad, hands-on work with real ownership from day one, from writing the code to helping decide what we build.

We are open to a wide range of engineers: backend, full-stack, and ML-leaning. What matters is that you build fast and end to end. If you are strong and unsure whether you fit, reach out anyway.

What we look for

Strong programming skills and the ability to ship working software on your own. A good sense for product, meaning you care about what gets built and why, not just how. Comfort with ambiguity and an early-stage pace.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in computer science and software development: algorithms, data structures, and clean coding practices.
  • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (for example Python, Java, C++, or TypeScript).
  • Experience working with data pipelines, APIs, and cloud or containerized environments.
  • Ability to analyze complex requirements, design solutions, and communicate clearly to technical and non-technical people.
  • Experience in collaborative engineering environments, including version control such as Git and agile practices.
  • Bachelor's or Master's in computer science, AI, machine learning, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

  • Applied experience with machine learning, neural networks, or model optimization.
  • Hands-on NLP, including building, fine-tuning, and evaluating language models.
  • Familiarity with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Experience with authentication, payments, or distributed systems.

Compensation

Discussed at interview.
