About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at XITASO GmbH. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing innovative software solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and performance. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams comprising UI/UX experts, agile coaches, and product owners to deliver complex projects for our diverse client base. Your expertise will be vital in shaping scalable, modular architectures and integrating cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and DevOps practices. As a senior member of the team, you will also play a key role in mentoring less experienced colleagues, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. Qualifications
- Extensive practical experience in software development, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions.
- Excellent proficiency in German and English (minimum C1 level) to ensure clear and effective communication within teams and with partners.
- Broad understanding of current technological trends, concepts, and frameworks, with a keen interest in ongoing developments.
- Strong commitment to code quality, including unit testing, code reviews, clean coding practices, design patterns, refactoring, and modular architecture design.
- Enjoyment in tackling challenging architectural questions collaboratively with teams and project stakeholders.
- Openness to exploring "AI for Software Engineering" tools such as Claude Code, Open Code, and GitHub Co-Pilot, with a passion for learning and experimentation. Prior experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring junior colleagues, supporting their growth towards senior engineering roles.
- Transparent, honest communication style, with a readiness to give and receive constructive feedback.
- Take ownership within an interdisciplinary team comprising highly qualified software engineers, UI/UX specialists, agile coaches, and product owners to develop high-quality software solutions.
- Contribute to the conception and realization of complex, versatile software projects in close collaboration with clients.
- Embrace and promote agile development methodologies through daily scrums, client reviews, and retrospectives, supported by our Agile Coaches.
- Design durable software architectures, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with project goals, and implement these iteratively and incrementally.
- Apply DevOps practices to accelerate delivery, gather feedback, and continuously improve the software lifecycle.
- Evaluate and integrate new, stable technologies at appropriate stages to enhance project outcomes.
