We're partnering with one of the world's leading financial infrastructure companies that powers connectivity between thousands of financial institutions and the applications millions of people rely on every day. Their APIs enable developers and enterprises to securely access financial data, facilitate payments, and build the next generation of financial products.

As the platform continues to expand globally, they're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help design and build the core infrastructure, APIs, and distributed systems that power mission-critical financial services at massive scale.

The Role

You'll join a high-calibre engineering team responsible for building resilient, scalable backend systems that process billions of API requests and financial transactions. You'll work across the full software development lifecycle, partnering closely with Product, Infrastructure, Security, and Data teams to deliver reliable, developer-friendly products used by some of the world's largest fintechs and financial institutions.

This is an opportunity to solve technically complex problems involving distributed systems, data infrastructure, API design, reliability, and platform scalability while working on software that has a direct impact on the global financial ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain highly scalable backend services and distributed systems
• Develop APIs and platform capabilities used by developers and enterprise customers
• Improve system performance, reliability, observability, and operational excellence
• Own services from architecture through deployment, monitoring, and ongoing iteration
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions for new products and platform capabilities
• Optimize data storage, processing pipelines, and service architecture for scale and low latency
• Participate in architecture reviews, technical planning, and engineering best practices
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and design discussions
• Drive improvements to developer tooling, CI/CD pipelines, testing, and automation
• Contribute to a strong engineering culture focused on quality, ownership, and continuous improvement

Requirments

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong programming experience in one or more modern languages such as Go, Java, Kotlin, Python, C++, or similar
• Experience building scalable distributed systems and cloud-native applications
• Strong understanding of backend architecture, APIs, databases, and networking fundamentals
• Experience working with AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimization
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

Nice to Have

• Experience building financial infrastructure, payments, banking, or fintech products
• Experience working with high-throughput, low-latency systems
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and streaming technologies
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and developer platform tooling
• Familiarity with security, identity, authentication, or compliance in regulated environments
• Contributions to open-source software or developer tooling
