2. About the Opportunity:

The Senior Software Engineer role on the AI Enabled Platforms team contributes to the development of a next-generation clinical data cloud platform. The position involves designing and developing core modules, participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle, and integrating AI capabilities responsibly into production systems. This role is pivotal in advancing the platform’s functionality and reliability, while mentoring team members and fostering collaboration across departments.

3. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, secure, and interactive web applications
• Own and enhance core platform modules from concept through release and support
• Influence application and system architecture focusing on performance, reliability, security, and maintainability
• Lead by producing clean, well-tested code and conducting design reviews
• Collaborate with Product Management, QA, and engineering teams throughout the SDLC
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineering colleagues
• Diagnose and resolve complex production issues in distributed systems
• Ensure solutions comply with quality standards and relevant industry regulations
• Contribute to technical documentation including design specifications, acceptance criteria, and release notes

4. Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred
• Expert proficiency in C#, .NET, and ASP.NET (MVC/Web APIs)
• 3-5 years of experience in software design and development with the Microsoft technology stack
• Strong experience with full-stack web applications (Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS)
• Solid understanding of software design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Experience with the full Software Development Lifecycle, preferably Agile
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication, documentation, and technical leadership skills
• Hands-on experience integrating LLM-based AI services into applications
• Experience with Python and/or .NET in AI/LLM workflows
• Familiarity with agent-based or workflow-driven AI architectures is a plus
• Understanding of secure and responsible AI use in enterprise systems

Optional but beneficial skills:

• Strong SQL expertise, preferably Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with microservices, distributed systems, and AWS cloud platform
• Knowledge of secure development practices
• Experience with clinical trial data or regulated SaaS environments
• Experience building data visualizations or analytics-driven user experiences

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
