Role Description This full-time SaaS Software Developer role is an on-site position based in Vancouver, BC. The developer will design, implement, and maintain
cloud-based applications, focusing on scalable, secure, and performant SaaS architectures. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, testable code; building and integrating APIs; collaborating with product managers and designers; and participating in code reviews and
agile ceremonies. The role also involves troubleshooting production issues, optimizing existing features, and helping improve DevOps practices such as CI/CD, monitoring, and deployment. The developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions that enhance the platform’s reliability, usability, and impact on users.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in backend and frontend software development, including experience with modern programming languages (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or similar), web frameworks, and RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
- Candidates should possess skills in SaaS architecture and cloud platforms, including familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and designing multi-tenant, secure cloud services.
- Candidates should possess skills in data handling and integration, such as working with relational and NoSQL databases, designing efficient data models, and integrating third-party services or analytics tools.
- Candidates should possess skills in quality assurance practices, including unit and integration testing, code review participation, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Candidates should possess skills in collaborative product development, including clear communication, documentation, and experience working in agile or iterative development environments.
- Relevant qualifications include a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience building and maintaining SaaS products; and an understanding of security, privacy, and reliability best practices.
- Beneficial qualifications include experience in health-tech or wellness platforms, familiarity with compliance considerations (e.g., data protection regulations), and an interest in nervous system science and human performance.
