About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior/Staff AI Full Stack Engineer to join our AI products team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying production-grade applications powered by Galaxy's AI platform. Your primary responsibility will be transforming AI prototypes into scalable, reliable, and user-centric products. This involves building new applications from scratch, as well as collaborating with teams to enhance and scale existing prototypes into full-fledged solutions. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, guiding teams on best practices in architecture, development, security, and deployment, ensuring that AI-driven features are delivered efficiently and effectively.

The ideal candidate is a product-minded, full stack engineer with a strong background in both frontend and backend development. You should be comfortable working across the entire technology stack—from React-based user interfaces to Python backend services, and managing CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment. Your role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams, mentoring engineers, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our AI platform and product offerings.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a combination of technical expertise, industry experience, and soft skills:

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Proficiency in React or similar component frameworks such as Angular, Vue, or Svelte.
• Experience building streaming user interfaces using SSE/WebSockets for real-time AI response rendering.
• Strong backend development skills in Python, with experience in REST API design and async frameworks like FastAPI.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, and automated testing frameworks.
• Proficiency with Git workflows, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and data platforms like Databricks.
• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, including services like EC2, EKS/ECS, Lambda, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Experience implementing security protocols such as OAuth2/OIDC, SSO, RBAC, and secrets management.
  
  

Additional Skills And Experience

• Strong product sense with the ability to translate prototypes into scalable applications.
• Experience working with AI and machine learning platforms, especially AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, and AI-powered search/retrieval features.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Prior experience in financial services, capital markets, digital assets, or AI infrastructure is a plus.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design and develop full stack AI-powered applications from initial concept to production, leveraging Galaxy’s AI platform and underlying services like AgentCore, Bedrock, and SageMaker.
• Create and maintain responsive, high-quality frontends in React, ensuring a seamless user experience for AI-driven features.
• Build robust backend services in Python that integrate with large language models, agentic workflows, and enterprise data sources such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and Databricks.
• Design data layers and storage solutions tailored to application needs, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance.
• Partner with product managers and engineering teams to convert prototypes into scalable, secure, and reliable applications ready for production deployment.
• Identify and address gaps in security, scalability, reliability, and performance before go-live, ensuring applications meet enterprise standards.
• Manage deployment processes within Galaxy’s CI/CD pipelines, utilizing Kubernetes and Terraform to automate, version control, and scale applications effectively.
• Implement automated testing, monitoring, logging, metrics, and alerting to ensure high availability and maintainability of applications in production.
• Act as a strategic advisor for teams starting new AI prototypes, providing guidance on architecture, best practices, and reusable design patterns.
• Review and improve prototype architectures, reducing rework and accelerating time-to-market for AI features.
• Collaborate closely with the AI tech team to stay updated on platform capabilities and roadmap developments.
• Work with business stakeholders to translate real-world challenges into innovative AI product solutions.
• Mentor and enable engineers across teams on full stack development best practices for AI-powered products.
